Pickering Ground Breaking
On Monday, September 9th, 2024, Business Point broke the ground for their most recent project, Pickering Corporate Centre, located at 1030 Salk Rd. The attendees kicked off the program with networking and socializing. One could see a wide spectrum of invitees ranging from construction related professionals to real estate investors.
The ground breaking ceremony started with the land acknowledgement and paying respect to our indigenous people. Neelo Hussainzada, Business Point's Asset manager, welcomed the guests and briefed them about the project. She emphasized that the small industrial condo units are in demand and will remain in demand for foreseeable future.
After expressing his gratitude, Jamshid Hussaini, President of Business Point started his remarks by saying that: "we are building a home for our entrepreneurs." He, further emphasized that entrepreneurs protect their work space like their home as these units help them to bring food on the table for their family. The type of businesses that occupy these units are our everyday people such as contractors, plumbers, electricians, mechanics, suppliers, etc. These types of work can not be done from home. They need a physical space to do their job.
Basically, Business Point is building real spaces for real people doing the real work.
Afterwards, the Mayor of Pickering, Kevin Ashe, delivered his speech emphasizing on the importance of Business Point's development. He stated that this type of development creates jobs and helps with city's employment. He handed over a letter of recognition to Business Point Partners, Ahmad Elahi and Jamshid Hussaini.
The program continued with the ground breaking ceremony by Mayor Kevin Ashe, Jamshid Hussaini, Ahmad Elahi and Neelo Hussainzada. The official part of the event ended with the cake cutting ceremony by Mayor and Business Point Team.
